ENGINEER RESIGNS.
MAYOR'S CRITICISM RESENTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Blenheim, Last Night. At a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council Mr. H. M. W. Richardson tendered his resignation as borough engineer owing to comments by the Mayor made at the previous meeting, which he bitterly resented. The Mayor qualified his previous remarks by eulogising the work of the engineer and stating that he had no intention of insulting Mr. Richardson.
