FIRES.
BOARDING HOUSE DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Ohakune, N0v.26. A fire, the second in three days, broke out this morning at 2.10 a.ni.’in the Dominion boarding-house of 17 rooms. The inmates had just time to escape from the building and it burnt rapidly. It was in an isolated position and there was no danger of the fire spreading. The building was owned by R. J. Lyttle, and the insurances were: Building £<>oo, furniture £530. The fire brigade turned out, but found the fire well-established and could do nothing effective. BLAZE IN GREYMOUTH. Greymouth, Nov. 26. The Ban-ytown Hotel was destroyed by fire at one o’clock this morning. The inmates escaped in night attire. The building was old and was owned by the licensee, T. Dunn. The insurance on ,the hotel and contents wat £l5OO.
