GANG OF CROOKS.
WARREN AND AUSTRALIANS. ALL SENT TO PRISON. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 10, 7.40 p.m. Paris, July 9. The trial of an international gang, comprising Australians, has concluded. Warren, the international crook, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, Evans to three years, O’Brien and O’Connor to two years, and Dixson and Donovan to six months. Sir Walter Cockerline, a Hull shipowner, was awarded an order for the restoration of 1,800,000 francs against Warren, being the amount of which he had been defrauded. . Edward Lewis, another member of the 'gang, was also sentenced,in absentia to five years’ imprisonment.
