A DANGEROUS IMPORTATION. (To the Editor.) Sir, —I was horrified to see so much bark adhering to the piles recently Imported by the Harbor Board, or what are lying at root of breakwater. Every one knows that the bark of the Australian ironbark, etc., contains the deadliest borer known, which, if not burnt, will eat through the wood in eighteen months.—l am, etc., BYSTANDER.
