HEAVY RAIN CONTINUES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.--Copyright Received April 29, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, April 29. Heavy rain continues in the coastal districts, with torrential falls on the northern littoral. Rivers are commencing to flood and railway traffic is impeded. Received April 30, 12.30 a.m. Sydney, April 29. The weather has improved in northern coast districts, and serious flooding is unlikely. Some places have registered over 20 inches of rain during the present month. LABOR IN PARLIAMENT. Received April 29, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, April 29. A conference of trade unionists and representatives of the Australian Labor Party executive affirmed the principle of executive control of Parliamentary representatives of the Labor movement, believing that only through the exercise of such control can a Parliamentary caucus be made responsible, maintain contact with organised workers, and give expression to the principles and policies of the Labor movement.
