The Lr* 'r Conference, after a heated debate, decided, by 74 to 20 votes that H is competent to draft international regulations for agricultural labor. The F n-h Government representatives Strongly opposed the proposal. Received Oct. 20. 55 p.m. Geneva, Oct. 28. The French delegates to the Labor Conference demand that the agricultural question can only be examined from a national and not an international viewpoint. France declines to accept the conferences decisions on the Subject- —Aua.-N.Z- Cable Assn. Received Oct. 30. 55 p.m. Geneva. Oct. 28.
The Tabor Conference, by 64 votes to EO. passed a resolution in favour of an eight-hour day for agricultural laborers, but being below the required two-thirds majority, the item had to be withdrawn from the agenda.
