KIRKWOOD AND EAST. ARRIVAL IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 28. Kirkwood and East, who arrived by the Maltura, will play on five Now Zealand links before leaving Wellington for Sydney. They stated in an interview that the standard of play in the United States was as high, f no’; a little higher, than that in Britain. He has a very high opinion of Douglas the winner of the New Zealand ehampionship), and would have liked to see him compete in an Australian eftaanpionship.
