TA RATA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) In my last notes I mentioned the return match between Tarata and Pukeho would ■ probably take place on Saturday, the 20th ! inst., at Pffkeho, but owing to the in- , ability to secure suitable playing ground at Pukeho, the match took place at Tarata, on a field of Mr. R. Paterson’s, which he ■ again kindly lent for the occasion. The two teams came on the field looking fit, i Pukeho being captained by Campbell, and the Tarata by T. Clarke (Ecu, who captained the Tarata team in the last contest having been injured to such an extent as to prevent him from appearing in the field for Tarata). The day was warm and sunny, not altogether the best for footballers, being a trifle hot, but certainly an ideal day for spectators, who turned out in no small number, some to watch the football match, and some no doubt tempted out by the glorious day. From first to last the game was a keen “go,” Pukeho driving Tarata to the line for awhile, but eventually the ball was I kicked back to the centre of the field, I little advantage being gained in position | during the rest of the match. At 4 o’clock, ' referee Bishell blew the whistle, and an- | nounced the match was over and that ! neither side had scored. This has made both sides so determined that another match is likely to take place, and no doubt will be worth seeing, as only the best men Tarata and Pukeho can procure will be put in the field. The line umpires were Messrs. A. Bishell and A. Smith. I deeply regret to state that Mr. A. Eliott twisted his ankle during the match, and probably will be indisposed for some weeks. At the conclusion of the match 1 cheers were called by Mr. Campbell, on I behalf of the Pukeho team, for the Tarata j team, who suitably responded. xXfternoon tea was again provided by < the ladies of the district in the Tarata | Hall, and was much appreciated by the ' footballers, and before leaving the hall ' chbers were called for the ladies. A euchre party and dance was held in i the Pukeho schoolroom on the 19th inst., ’ the proceeds being devoted to the school ; funds. The Tarata factor}' commenced operations for the season on the 15th inst., and this season should he a record for the | local factory s output, as considerably more i cows will be milked in this district this i year. There has been several milking machines ' installed in this district recently and sev- ' eral new cowsheds erected. The Rev. Stanton, of Inglewood, visits this district every Friday to hold confirma- ' i tion classes, and we hope to receive a visit ' ; from the Bishop of Auckland next NovemI ber. j The river is presenting quite a pretty ■ appearance now, as the willow trees lining i > the banks are beginning to sprout new . j leaves. A lady from Wanganui, a new ' arrival here, when visiting the river from i the Domain, paid a high compliment to I the locality by remarking that the wild 1 scenery reminded her in many ways of ■ ! many beautiful spots on the Wanganui ■ | River. j Mrs. E. Bishell has been for a holiday | this last week in New Plymouth; Mrs.! i Hills is also away on a holiday, and Miss t Sowry is on an extended holiday visiting • friends up north. I regret to state that Mrs. Standish is ; still in the New Plymouth hospital. We all trust she will be sufficiently recovered to return home soon.

People subject to Bronchitis will .find this method of using Nazol will give them wonderful relief: Mix 15 to 20 drops of Nazol with small teaspoonful of Pure Olive Oil —and rub it freely and gently all over the chest and between the shoulders, and round the throat and neck—and then cover with flannel or silk handkerchiefs. Do this night and morning for 2 or 3 days. Its effect will be wonderful. For very young children, use only 10 to 12 drops of Nazol, 6
