HOCKEY.
LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. FINAL ON SATURDAY. The final of the Taranaki ladies’ competition will be played at Stratford on Saturday, commencing at 2.30 p.m. The New Plymouth High School team won the northern end. and the Stratford High School the southern, so that Saturday's game should be interesting. As the final should be on neutral ground, the match will be played on the football ground in Victoria Park, which will be marked off for the occasion. Last year the winning southern team travelled to New Plymouth to play the northern, so this year the northern is to travel to play the southern at the association centre, which is now Stratford.
