MINING TROUBLE AVERTED. By Telegraph.- -Press Association. Wellington, June 11. The trouble which threatened in the mining industry owing to the owners of the Brighton mine, Nightcaps, notifying the miners of a reduction of 2s per ton in the hewing rate as from July 6, has been averted. The secretary of the local union has informed the Miners’ Federation that the company agrees to continue the old hewing rate. AUCKLAND LAND SALE. Auckland,. June 11.
