THE WINTER SHOW.
CONCLUDED ON SATURDAY. The Winter Show at New Plymouth was concluded on Saturday, wheii there was again a large attendance, both during the day and at night. During- the evening the Citizens’ Band was in attendance, and rendered another fine programme of music. A. considerable quantity of farm pro* duee, vegetables, eggs, etc., donated by] the exhibitors, was auctioned by Mr. K. Kirk, realising good prices. A number of competitions were decided, hams being won by Messrs. R. Dingle, P. C. Eva; and R. Day, cake by J. M. Tunnicliff, and the horse by Mr. H. Sampson (Hilla-' borough). The ladies again had a busy time at-* tending to the catering. The officiate of the society are to be congratulated on the success achieved, special praise being due to the president (Mr. W. B. Grant), Who has devoted his whole attention to tile show; and also to the secretary (Mr. W. P. Okey),
