DAMAGE BY FIRE.
OUTBREAK AT WELLINGTON., By Telegraph.—Press Association. , Wellington, June 11. A fire occurred this afternoon in al wooden building at the corner of Bowen Street and Lambton Quay, occupied by Smith (clothier). The fire broke out in the upper storey, which is let in separate rooms, and the outbreak originated in a room occupied by Anderson (chiropodist), which was completely gutted and the consents were destroyed. The brigade sooh got the flames under and the damage done to other rooms was mostly by water. It is understood the building and contents are insured.
