BEE-KEEPERS’ CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association Auckland, Last Night. At the bee-keepers’ conference, Mr. T. W. Kirk was elected president of the National Association amid applause, and Mr. T. Clark was elected vice-president. Members of the executive were elected as follows:—-North > Island, Messrs. R. Hutchinson and A. R. Bates; South Island, Messrs. L. Irwin and W. E. Barker; secretary, treasurer and auditor, Mr. F. C. Baines. GAS WORKERS’ DEMANDS. Auckland, Last Night. The Gas Employees’ Union are. filing on the Auckland, Birkenhead and NortScote Gas Companies the following new demands in connection with their agreement: £4 5s for weekly workers; hourly workers 2s 3d per hour; shift workers £1 per shift.
