EXPORT OF MEAT.
ALLEGATIONS OF BAD QUALITY, . COMMISSIONER TO ENQUIRE, (By Wire. —Own Correspondent.) Wellington, Last Night. , During last session of Parliament, Mr. Holland (leader of the Labor Party) made some rather startling allegations as to the quality of some meat exported from New Zealand, and Air. Massey stated that a full inquiry would be made. There has been a good deal of delay, owing chiefly to the difficulty of getting qualified men who have no personal interests, but the Government has now practically arranged that Sir Thomas Mackenzie, late High Commissioner, shall be chairman of a commission which will make a thorough investigation of the points raised by Mr. Holland and the general conditions of the trade at this end.
