Charles Roujt, giving evidence at the Caillaux' trial, caused a sensation by stating that Caillanx, during a voyage to Italy, continually spoke in favor of a premature peace and was constantly meeting suspicious people, sum. as Cavalini, who had since been arrested for having intelligence with the enemy.
