IV'fIANGAMOMONA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The observer reports: Hazy and cloudy conditions generally prevailed throughout the month of January. Rain fell on 22 days, which was exceptional; maximum fall 1.94 in on 1-Gth (the only heavy fall); total for month 4 Gsin. A tournament was played on Saturday last between the Ohura and Whangamomona Tennis Club, and resulted in a win for the visitors, the score being 97 to 8G At the close of the match Mr Shorland, president of the Ohura club, thanked the local team for their hospitality. Ho was pleased they i, ! won for it balanced the defeat they had recently received when the Whangamomona team visited Ohura. Mr Stromboin briefly replied 011 behalf of the lo?al ctub, and called for cheers for the visitors, which were heartily give" .
