Shortly after the express from Dunedin to Christehurch passed Studholme Junction yesterday some employees of the Labor Department discovered the body of a new-born infant wrapped In paper On the arrival of the express at Christehurch police investigations were made, but without result. The body of the child was removed to Waimate, where an inquest will be held. Tho circumstances suggest that the body was dropped from the train.
