DEATH OF MRS F. HARTNELL.
The adjourned inquest touching the death of Mrs. Maud Alice Harthell, whose, body was found in the lake at Pnkokura Park on Tuesday morning last, was held at the courthouse yesterday afternoon, 'before Mr. A. Crooke, S.M., coroner.
l>r. Wade deposed that deceased was subject to recurrent attacks of migraine, which condition was made worse by her -instant fretting and worrying over her husband's aibsence. and as the result of which she lost many nights' sleep, and when she did go to sleep her rest was disturbed by what she described as very horrid dreams. He last saw deceased on Monday, November 20, when she was very depressed. She was constantlv melancholic, especially when tho attacks came on.
William Walter Smith, curator of the Pnkekura Park, stated that atiout 5.10 o-.m. on Tuesday ho was informed that the body of a woman had been found in the lake. Ho immediately went to the spot and removed the body to the boatshed. The Coroner said that the evidence clearlv showed that deceased had met her death by drowning, while of unsound mind.
