HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cablegram, dated London. November 24, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand. (Note: Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market rates on spot):— Meat.—There has been no material change in the market. Supply consists principally of home-killed mutton and Scotch lambs, together with small supplies of vhome-killed beef, all selling at maximum prices. New Zealand frozen meat: No supplies available. Argentine mutton and lamb: Small supplies, lli/ 2 d. Argentine chjlled beef: Hinds,
liy.d, fores OV 2 d. Butter.—All kinds of butter are in small supply. No official quotations with the exception of Paris, 256s Bd, Very limited supjply of New Zealand and Danish butter during, this week selling at maximum prices, 1 . Cheese.—Small supplies at Government prices. Hemp.—Manila market shows fl* change. New Zealand market is easier in anticipation of expected Government control. Output from Manila two weeks ending November 17 . 42,000 bales. New Zealand: Little business doing for shipment as soon as possible, i' Wheat and Oats.—No chance .to re['port.
