OLD MAN AND TYPIST.
A TRAGIC INFATUATION, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercarsill, March 13. A fortnight ago Itdward Henry Smitli, a married mail of about 70. a commission agent, and his typist, Myrtle Scott, a gill of 20, disappeared. Two men who were rabbit shooting in Seaward Bush on Sunday saw n man in the scrub and were leaving to inform the police when a bullet whizzed past one of them. Oh the arrival of the police Scott was found dead with a shot in Iser head, and Smith, who was wounded in the head, died later. The two had lived concealed in the bush, subsisting ehieiiy oil turnips and potatoes.
