BIG PATRIOTIC EFFORT AT GREYMOUTH. Greymouth, Last Night. The Greymouth Borough Council, Chamber of Commerce, Jockey Club, and Trotting Club wired to-day to the Minister for Railways, asking him to inaugurate a daily service with Christchurch, commencing on October 26th, for the Greymouth carnival week, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Patriotic Fund.
