Then Miss.Marion Terry, the English actress, "came in contact with some of Miss Bees' stories, with flattering result. >'. he; at once expressed a desire that Miss Bees should write a play for lutr. and the. sequel is yet to be seen in the production of a. five-act play already written, which will probably be. entitled "The Conquered Citadel." Miss Bees lias been engaged for some time now in superintending the production of the. on.e-ae.t play "Uncle Bill," the success of which is the subject of the cable message, but at first met with many difficulties in the matter of obtaining v. suitaMo caste. However, all these difficulties eppoar to have been successfully overcome, and the success of the little pliy "Uncle Bill" will probably be the immediate precursor of a brilliant reputation for Miss Bees, The young authoress is well known in fiisboriic. where she was brought up, and, indeed, as already indicated, throughout New Zealand' and Australia.. She entered upon it stage career some ten years ago, and quickly achieved a measure of success, playing leading ladv in Allen Hamilton's "Message from Mars'' Company. In England, too. Miss Bees is well and favorably known upon the boards of both metropolitan and provincial theatres. Writing to a Cisborne friend bv the last mail.
