.SYDNEY RESIDENT'S CLAIM. Sydney, April 1. A private cablegram from London reports that the Page Estate Bill has been read a lirst time in the House of Lords. This is a private measure on behalf of G-. 11. Morris, a resident of Sydney, who is a claimant to the Page estates, its purpose being to appoint a commission investigate the ownership. The Page estates, for which there are several claimants, consist of enormous commons on the outskirts of London, assessed at anything between £50,000,000 and £150,000.000, and they yield an income of about £2,000,000 a year. Some of the finest residential districts in London have been erected on the site of the waste commons, and the estate also includes a suburban area which will increase enormously in value, within the next few years . Harrow is the natural centre of the estate, which includes practically all ihe land within a line drawn from the Marble Arch up to Edgcwarc Road, through Hendon to Elslree station, across to the outskirts of Rick--1 mansworth, thence to a point a few miles south of ITxbridge and back to Hyde Park bv Soutliall/Acton, and Netting Hill. The original owner of the property was Henry Page, who died over 90 years ago, leaving a will by which all he possessed was tied up for Of) years. ■
