THE VISIT TO MELBOURNE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, April 4. Two hundred New Zealanders, wlio are resident in Melbourne, accepted the invitation of Mr. Manson, the New Zealand agent in Melbourne, to visit H.H.S. New Zealand. Numbers were introduced to and chatted with Prince George of Battenburg, who is a sublieutenant on the warship. Received 5, 1.10 a.m. Melbourne, April 4. The New Zealand goes direct to Lyttelton from here.
SUGGESTED VISIT TO RUSSELL. By Telegraph—Press .Association. Wrangarei.LastNisht. Mr. Marnier, M.P., asked the Hon. H. D. Bell that a visit of the warship New Zealand should be made to Russell on account of its historic importance. The Minister replied that it was not possible to make any promises, an the further itinerary will be made when the ship arrives at Wellington.
