BUSINESS NOTICES.

The success of a band and incidentally the success of each player depends largely upon the class of instrument used. It is worthy of note, in this connection, that the Auckland Temperance Guards' Band, the Morrinsville Town Band, and the Wellington Waterside Workers' Union Band have decided to buy Higham's Contesting Model Class A band instruments. These instruments were accepted because of their excellence of construction, beautiful clear tones, wearing qualities and moderate prices. | The sole Dominion agent for Higham's famous band instruments, Mr. J. W. Copithorne, the Golden Horn, Wellington, is in treaty with three more bands [for these instruments. One band has practically ordered a full Bet, • silverplated and engraved, and with best leather cases, the order to be ratified if finances permit. Ladies, what about your winter wear? If you are not yet properly shod or not quite decided who shall have the order, slip into McEwen Bros, who this week advertise a splendid lot of ladies' winter booths, at very acceptable prices.
