| AN EXTRA EXPRESS. By Telegraph—Press A*»o«i»tio«. Auckland, Monday. The question of the duplication of the Alain Trunk express service between Auckland and Wellington was mentioned to Mr. Myers (Minister of Railways) by a Herald reporter to-day. Mr. Myers said he had considered the matter, and , the conclusion he had arrived at was that circumstances would justify the duplication. For next summer season arrangements would be made for an i extra express to eommenee on November 1 and continue to April 30. Afterwards the question of the permanent retention "of the duplication of the service would be decided. Instructions had already been given for the building of 25 additional cars of the Main Trunk standard type, which would be completed not later than the middle of October next. In view, however, of the increasing traffic, especially in the Auckland district, Mr. Mvers said that it bad been decided to invite tenders for building 20 more carriages. n
