In a Habeas Corpus action at Montreal the wife of Osborne Haynes, an American broker, is seeking the custody of a child his father had kidnapped. The wife declares herself to be the daughter of the Archduke Rudolph of Austria, who committed suicide after his marriage with an Austrian baroness. She states that Haynes ill-treated her because of her failure to secure recognition from the Austrian Emperor. She is now seeking for a divorce.
