Lloyds have notified that, after August 9, shipowners will be required to take out a special war risk at a special rate. It is understood this action is due to the Moroccan situation and the Government's approval of the Declaration of London.

Ome large firm has insured its vessels for a year against war risks at 6s per cent The risk for war between Britain and Germany during the next three months has been raised from three to five guineas per cent. The Atlantic fleet has cancelled its visit to Norway owing to the Moroccan situation.
