FOREST FIRES.
NOVA SCOTIA SWEPT. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Ottawa, July 18. In Nova Scotia serious forest fires, with eight miles frontage, are sweeping across country. So far as is known no lives have been lost. CARELESSNESS OF PROSPECTORS. Ottawa, July 18. The disastrous' fire in the Porcupine district is ascribed to the carelessness of prospectors.
