Messenger has scored ten tries, converted 32, and kicked seven penalty goals and one field goal, a total of 110 points. SOUTHERN DIVISION. Waimate I. defeated Kaponga by 17 to nil; Waimate 11. defeated Normanby by 49 to nil; Waimate 111. defeated Okaiawa by 14 to nil. MATCHES IN OTHER CENTRES. Wellington.—Saturday's matches resulted:—Poneke (C) v. St. James (3); Melrose (6) v. Petone (5); Athletic (11) v. Old Boys (5); Southern (19) v. Wellington (6); Oriental (25) v. Victoria College (0). Auckland.—City and Ponsonby drew, 8 points each; University (14) v. Grafton (8); Marist Bros, beat Newton easily. Playing in tlie City-Ponsonby match, Fitzgerald, of the former team, had his collar-bone broken, and Daudney, of the latter, had a shoulder dislocated.

Cliristchurch.—Christchurch forwards were much too good for Old Boys, who were beaten by 12 points to 3. Merivale and Sydenham had a close struggle, the former winning by 14 to 13. Albion beat Marists by 18 to nil, and Linwood beat Canterbury College by 11 to nil. Dunedin.—The senior matches in Rugby footbnl 1 were played on Saturday in capital weather, with the following results: —University (0) v. Kaikorai (0); Zingari Richmond (10) v. Southern (5); Alhambra (9) v. Pirates (0); Union (8) v. Taieri Rovprs (6); Port Chalmers (4) v. Dunedin (3).
