CRICKET
THE TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA. By Oable—Press Association—Copyright. London, July 10. Sidney Pardon, editor of Wisden's Cricket Almanack, in the Sunday Times declares that Rhodes' acceptance of a position in the team for Australia is like those of Hobbs and Strudwick, subject to the committee's sanction. Iremonger is considered a certainty. Fry's delay in deciding to accept the captaincy is perhaps a hopeful sign, but it is stated on good authority that he will probably find himself compelled to refuse. Nevertheless great efforts arc being made to induce him to go.
