The official report of the recent outbreak of smallpox in London states that there was one death among 46 victims, who had been vaccinated, and nine among 22 who had not been vaccinated. E. T. Hooley unsuccessfully appealed against Justice Eady's writ of attachment for contempt in failing to supply the trustee in bankruptcy with halfyearly accounts of profit and loss in business transactions in his own and his wife's account in accordance with the judgment of November, 1909. Police patrolling the roads at Choisy-Le-Roi in a silent automobile caught I some train wreckers red-handed. They had in their possession appliances for cutting high tension wires and unscrewing sleepers.
