The .-uiumnt of dry weather experienced on the East Coast will not affect the farmer* on the West Coast, Taranaki especially having abundance of feed. The fat stock classes are always of special merit at the Egniont Shows, and this year the standard should he well maintained. The fat cattle classes contain steers from two-year-old, three, four and over four years, in addition to a pen of three yearling steers, any breed, for a prize of f3 3s. In the fat sheep clas.<>> there is a varied list of competitions for which a challenge silver cup is oll'eml, to be won twice in succession or three limes at intervals. For freezers there is a class of live lambs (long or short wool), for which the first prize \< £7 7s. Always an important feature of the showare the dairy produce classes. Though a summer show, the Eimont Society eater for all classes. This year the 'classes have been rearranged, 'under the guidance of the X.Z. Dairy Factory Managers' Association.
