SCENE AT A CIRCUS. Sydney, September 2. During a performance at Orange a gale blew down Wirth's circus teat. A wild scene of disorder followed. EigN' persons were injured.
ACCIDENT TO A SOMNAMBULIST. t Sydney, September 2. A woman somnambulist walked on' the railway at Karrabri and was' knocked down by a train. Oaw leg was almost severed.
WAREHOUSE FLOODED. Melbourne, September 2. A tap was left running on an upper floor in the warehouse of Groves and Co., York srteet, Melbourne. Tire stock on the floor below was severely damaged by the water. The loss is estimated at £SOO.
SPLENDID RAINS. Adelaide, September 2. Splendid rain is falling throughout the State.
STRIKE OF TIMBER WORKERS. Melbourne, September 2. Several timber vessels are blocked in consequence of a strike of stacker* arising out of a dispute as to rates of pay. The stevedores have struck in sympathy. A DOUBLE TRAGEDY. !»**:"■" Perth, September 2. A double tragedy occurred at Kalgoorlie. A mau named Walter Douglas aad a girl named Ella Wnyth wer found dead together at their Indjru■• with a discharged revolver alongsi,l> the bodies. It is supposed that one or other committed murder and suicide.
