A GREAT LAND RUSH.
FREE HOLDINGS IN CANADA. Received 2, 1120 pjn. Ottawa, September 2. The greatest rush in the history of Western Canada was made yesterday for the odd number of sections in the districts of Regina, Moosejaw, Calgary, Humboldt, Battleford, and Reddeer, representing 30,000,000 acres, which .were opened for settlement. Homesteaders owning 160 acres were permitted to double their holdings. Nearly every settler availed himself of the advantage.
