GERMANY'S CRIPPLED FINANCES.
A " HORRIFYING •' ESTIMATE. Received Ist, 9.4.3 p.m. Berlin, Mav 1. .Statements submitted by the Budget Committee in the Reicfiatag show that Germany must borrow fifty millions sterling within the next five yearg, even without fresh appropriations, in order to cover the annual deficits. Herr Eraerherger, reporter of the Budget Committee, characterised the estimate as horrifying, but believed the amount would be exceeded.
