CONCENTRATION OF BRITISH TROOPS. THE AMEER APATHETIC. Calcutta, April 30. A great force of British troops is Ilow concentrated at Peshawar. This is likely to induce the Afridia to continue to abstain from joining the Moliniands. Received Ist. 10.20 p.m. , Dondon, Mav 1. Replying to Mr Longdale. Mr Asquith said tlie Government admitted that Afghans joined the Mohmand raiders. The Government of India had communicated with the Ameer, whose action appeared to be reducing such participation.
