ADMIRAL EVANS INDISPOSED. Sydney, May 1. '• She steamer Otterburn lias arrived from Magdalent Bay, where she coaled the American SMt, Tho captain states that Admiral Evans, who had been ailing ever since lie had leit New York, became indisposed at Magdalena, and under medical advice left the fleet with the intention of entering a sanatorium at San Francisco. Senior officer Admiral Thomas assumed command and hoisted his flag on the Missouri. It was understood that -\dniiral Evans relinquished tin- command only ! temporarily wjth the intention of rejoining the fleet as soon as his health was restored. . The crews received the news that they would visit Australia and New j Zealand with much enthusiasm.
