BOWLING.
On Boxing Pay fourteen pairs competed in a progressive pairs tournament on the New Plymouth bowling green, for prizes presented by Messrs Taylor and Ifwerson. Messrs McKelInr and J. C. George were the most successful, defeating Messrs Kundle and Fnrris in the final.
The New Plymouth Bowling Club representatives will leave on Saturday, January 6th, to take part in the North Island Bowling Association's tournament in Wellington. The two rinlts to represent the club in.the inter-elub games are:—Messrs Smart, Govctt, Ward, and Gray (skip); D. McKcllar, 11. Goklwater, Wyllie, and S. Rundlo (skip). Mr E. Dingle, who was selected as a member of the Stratford Bowling Club's tournament team, finds that he will he unable to travel, and Mr T. Tichbon will take his place. The rinks, says the " Post," now consist of the following players :—Messrs E. A. Osmond, T. Tichbon, J. D. Morison,' and A. K, Smart (skip) • and J. Jackson, H. LI. Belts, C. S. Curtis, and 0. M. Curtis (skip). The team will.leavc for Wangauui on New Year's Day, playing there on January 2nd. The Feilding Club will be played on the following day, and the Palmerston North Club on January sth. The team will arrive in Wellington on the sth to take part in the Northern Bowling Association's tournament, commencing on January Bth.
