Education Board Election

The result of the Education Board election appears in our advertising columns. It will 1,0 Bern that only the retiring members having been nominated no poll will be required and Messrs Allsworth, Morton, and McDonald havo every reason to be pleased at tho confidence thus shown in them by the school committees. Tho two latter are comparatively new members of the board, Mr Morton being elected in April, 1902, on the resignation of Mr 11, A. Hignett. He has proved a very useful member, and has also dono good service as a member of the board's linunce committee. Mr McDonald was elected in August, 19012, and has thoroughly gained the confidence of his follow members. Mr Allsworth has been live times elected a member of tho board, and on no less than three occasions has been returned unopposed. He is a member of the finance committeo and teachers' selection committee, and haa also served as a member of the reserves committee. Since July, 1902, he has been chairman of the board. Mr Allsworth was nominated by the following committees, viz. : Carrington Road, Egmont Village, Fitzroy, Frankley Road, Kaiauai, Omata, Ngaire, Pembroke Road, Stratford, Tuhara, Tututawa, und West End ; Mr McDonald by Egmont Village, Inglewood,, Midhirst, Omata und Tahora ; and Mr Morton by Carrington Road, Egmont Village, ICaiauai and Omata.
