FORESTERS' SOCIAL.
In spite of the very unfavourable weather experienced on Thursday evening, the Foresters' Hall was well filled on the occasion of the combined Foresters' social. The advantage of the various lodges uniting for a social evening was manifest in the completeness of the arrangements. The ladies of Court Pride of New Plymouth were j responsible for the supper table decorations and had evidently bestowed great pains and good taste on their work, Themembers of Courts Taranaki and Waireka not only decorated the hall in a very artistic manner, but took great care that the floor should be in. first-rate order for dancing. This, coupled with the fact of the music being supplied by Mr. D. McKinnon Bain's excellent orchestra, ensured dancing being thoroughly enjoyable. Mr. P. Lealand provided the supper in his usual thorough manner, and altogether the gathering was one of the most pleasant and successful that has been held in the hall.
