TURKEY AND THE POWERS.
THE PORTE DEFIES THE POWERS' INJUNCTION. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Received 23, 9.15 a.m. Constantinople, April 21. Despite the formal collective protest which has been received from the Powers, the Porte is raising the Customs duties from eight to eleven per cent., believing that the Powers will yield upon the point at issue.
