Exhibits Few In Number But Good Standard. Comments by judges additional to those published yesterday wire as follows: Milking Shorthorns. Mr J. H. The winning Clydesdale entire, Hogan’s Matapu Bold McQuaid, v s a particularly good one, quite as good s any that Mr Alexander ha 1 seen any North Island show of late vears. The reserve entire, B. nton McQuaid, was p. no,th er good sort. R. Townsend's Balthangie Rosina, the champion spring carter, though 12 vears of age, was a splendid type bowing pl nty of action, quality and size. The reserve, Ep’nar I's ' dv Raglan, also owned by R. Horn, of Ohau, judge of the Jersey classes, expressed himself as well pleased with the standard ot •Rock he had seen in the ring this morning. Both the champion cow and the roKerve champion were splendid types, while the calf class, which was. well filled, was well up to the standard of the slock judged yesterday. 'J here wire some very promising calyes exhibited and the bull calves, too showed considerable merit. Pony Leaping. The judge of the light horees, Mr S. C. Mcßhu, of- Patea, was much more heartened by to-day’s events than, yeslerJivy’s. The fields were good and he considered the ponies a ■zery useful lot. It was, in the opinion of M,r Me Rae,, a good thing to cater ■so fully for th it. class, and the Styat’ord Association should be congratulated on its efforts to tncourage the younger penformers.
