THE DEATH OF ESTLAND.

Sydney, April 7. Tho hearing has commenced of the action in which Mr Wade, owner of tho racehorse Estland, is claiming £7000 from the Rosehill Racecourse Company, on the grounds of alleged negligence.
It was stated in evidence that the horse was running, on Lho Rosehill course when he fell and broke his back through putting his foot in a rabbit burrow.
Mr Wade testified that he paid £3678 for Estland on the strength of his previous performances a.nd'prospects. Jutland at the time of his death was valued at £7000.
Hyne, Mr Wade's trainer, said he considered Estland capable of winning any race, in his engagements, including the Melbourne and Caulfield Cups.
