Auckland, April S. At the eon Terence of the New Zealand Branch of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows a motion to provide a table for increased funeral benefits in conjunction with the sick benefits of €ne society was lost, the consensus of opinion being that ample provision exists under the increased funeral benefit fund. The election of officers resulted as follows: Grand Master, Bro. William Thomas (Auckland); Deputy G.M., Bro. W. G. Gahagan (Christchurch); corresponding secretary, Bro. 3. Kershaw (Wellington) ; treasurer. Bro. G. E. Godber, (Wellington); directors: Thirteen candidates went to the ballot for the six seats, the following being elected: Bros. A. G. Slsrimpton (Nelson), H. Bull (Napier). T. Aitken (Auckland), F. Pritchard ,'Ashburton), W. Clark (Wellington), J, Merriman (Christchurch); Parliamentary agent, Bro. J. Keri shaw: auditors, Bro. A. Guise, T. S* Powell, and W. G. French (all of Wellington).
