Lord Derby has been instructed to make clear the causes of the meeting of Allied Ambassadors at Paris. He states that British statesmen view the German situation pretty much -from the French standpoint, and adopt an undoubtedly sympathetic attitude, but it is unlikely that the British will take part in the occupation of German
towns.
