WOMEN'S NATIONAL RESERVE.

DOMINION CONFERENCE.

New Plymouth, Feb. 19. The Dominion conference of the Women's National Reserve was continued to-day. It was reported that the Reserve is establishing a nursery in Wellington to relieve sick mothers from the care of their children. Tho organisation of medical service detachments •was referred to, the objects of which are to meet the emergency demands of epidemic or war conditions by the establishment of hospital wards, 'technical, nursing and cooking schools; also trained ambulance detachments, and sick nursing classes suppderaentary to the regular establishments. - The following resolution was passed: "That the Women's National Reserve in conference assembled, decide-to support the petition to the Government asking them to consider the advisability of granting State pensions as a subsidy to the earnings of the blind, and to care for those totally incapable by that infirmity." ■ ■ ;■' - '

The Executive Dominion Council was re-eleoied as follows: President, Mrs Corliss;,organiser, Mrs Porter; secretary, JMrs Hope.; treasurer, Mrs Boden.
