SOLDIERS' CLEARANCE OF UNDESIRABLES.
(Received Dec. 2, 10.5 p.m.) Brisbane, Dec. 2. There was a riot at Charlevillc, where a band of returned soicuers decided to clear the town of undesirables. In many conflicts with the police several were injured. . , Further bloodshed 'was avoided oy the police promising to dear tne town. All the hotels were closed.
