NEARING SINGAPORE

Sydney, Dec. 1. Captain Ross Smith cables from Bangkok under date December Ist that he left Rangoon at 7 and reached Bankok at 1 o'clock. A heavy storm after passing Moulmein caused delay and drove him out of his course. He followe dthe river Manam south to Bangkok, finding an excellent reception. Assistance was provided by the Siamese Aviation Corps. , He hopes to land at Singora on the! 2nd and at Singapore on the 3rd inst. All is well.
