A meeting of the Protestant Association was held last night in the Wesleyan bchool-room, which was packed to its utmost capacity. 'After the election of omcers the Dominion organiser, the Rev. Howard Elliott, addressee? the meeting on political matters. At the opening and dosing of the meeting the audipnce sang.;the National Anthem. During the course of his address the Rev. Mr. Elliott stated his intention of revisiting-Nelson.in the immediate future in order to deliver a public lecture. A large number of new members were enrolled.
